First Capital Hires Former AR Global VP as New Chief Accounting Officer

First Capital Real Estate Advisors LP has hired Paschal Ferreira as its chief accounting officer to oversee the company’s accounting team. In his new role, he will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, and implementing and ensuring proper financial controls and systems.

Ferreira joins the First Capital team from AR Global where he served as vice president, divisional chief accounting officer and was responsible for managing the finance and accounting functions of the global real estate franchise, including Global Net Lease (NYSE: GNL), a publicly traded REIT, and American Realty Capital Global Trust II, a publicly registered non-traded REIT.

“Paschal bears a breadth of accounting acumen, and we look forward to the application of his expertise to our current and future offerings,” said Suneet Singal, chairman and chief executive officer of First Capital.

Prior to his role at AR Global, Ferreira was a senior manager at Ernst & Young serving both public and private clients across the real estate, retail and consumer products, industrial products, and manufacturing industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Peter’s University (formerly St. Peter’s College) and is a licensed certified public accountant in both New York and New Jersey.

In other First Capital news, the firm recently hired two new additions to their sales team. Robert Burke now serves as executive vice president of sales, and Miguel Aguilar as regional vice president of sales for the Midwest region.

First Capital Real Estate Investments, an investment firm and sponsor of direct investment products, was founded in 2003 in Sacramento, CA. The firm’s investment strategy focuses on secondary and tertiary markets seeking opportunistic assets with value-add potential.
