Franklin Square Hires a Vanguard Executive

The Direct Investment Industry’s pioneer of the non-traded business development company announced today the hiring of a former Vanguard executive.

Berta Aldrich joins Franklin Square as Chief Marketing Officer after 10 years with Bogle’s firm in executive roles leading marketing strategy, loyalty operations, and investment education.

“Berta is a highly respected marketer and educator in our industry and we are delighted she has joined Franklin Square,” said Michael C. Forman, Chairman and CEO, Franklin Square. “Berta will help us further strengthen our position as a leader in alternative investments and our support for client and investor education programs.”

Most recently, Ms. Aldrich led channel marketing efforts for Vanguard’s $1 trillion Financial Advisory Services division as Head of Marketing Strategy. Prior to this role, she held other positions within the company including Marketing Executive and Head of Investor Education.

“Franklin Square is a leader in providing individual investors access to alternative investments historically reserved for large institutions,” commented Ms. Aldrich. “I am excited to join such an innovative, dynamic firm and a team that places such great emphasis on investor protection, client care and civic engagement.”

Ms. Aldrich spent 13 years with the Principal Financial Group prior to joining Vanguard. She’s been named one of Gramercy Institute’s 20 Rising Stars and has served on the board of the Mutual Fund Education Association.
