GPB Capital Holdings Names Richard Serio Managing Partner of Waste Management

GPB Capital Holdings LLC, a New York-based asset management firm, hired Richard Serio to serve as the company’s managing partner of waste management.

Serio has more than 30 years of management and business development experience in environmental services, clean technology, transportation, outsourcing, and document management.

“Rich is an industry veteran with over 30 years of leadership experience, and brings an extensive network of contacts and expertise, which will be instrumental in building our business, and creating an infrastructure which we can scale,” said Roger Anscher, managing partner and chief operating officer of GPB Capital Holdings. “We intend to be a large acquirer in the waste management space and look forward to launching our waste management offering under Rich’s leadership.”

Prior to joining GPB, Serio served as the vice president at Covanta Energy, a New Jersey-based corporation that owns and operates more than 40 new generation waste combustion facilities. Before Covanta, he held the role of market vice president at Allied Waste, where he was responsible for operations and sales in New York State and the Greater NYC Metro area. Serio received a bachelor of applied science in environmental science degree from Hofstra University.
