LeAnn Rummel Named President of Cetera Financial Institutions

Cetera Financial Institutions, a member of the Cetera Financial Group network of independent broker-dealer firms, named LeAnn Rummel president of Cetera Financial Institutions. In her new role, she will oversee all aspects of the firm’s operations and will spearhead the execution of CFI’s growth initiatives and the further development of its wealth management platform for banks and credit unions.

According to the company, Rummel will report directly to CEO Catherine Bonneau, who focuses on the firm’s strategic efforts, including enhancement of its longstanding self-clearing capabilities, and Cetera’s network-level strategic initiatives.

“I am enthusiastic about the efforts LeAnn will commit towards enhancing CFI’s growth and the quality of the overall client experience the firm provides. LeAnn will also implement the development of our expanded wealth management platform, including the addition of a digital advice component, and enhance our services for trust departments and registered investment advisory firms, an important growth initiative for CFI’s future,” said Bonneau.

Rummel is a senior executive with more than 30 years of financial services industry experience. In 1992, she joined PrimeVest Financial Services, which later became Cetera Financial Institutions. Most recently, she served as CFI’s national sales director, a role in which she oversaw all sales functions, including financial institution relationship management, sales support, product management, representative recruitment, sales supervision and strategic partner relations. She has also served as vice president of the financial institution channel and product marketing for ING Advisors Network’s marketing team.

In addition to her role as CFI president, Rummel is part of the firm’s executive committee and acts as president of its insurance agencies. She also serves as a board member for the Bank Insurance Securities Association, and was inducted into their Circle of Excellence in 2014, which honors outstanding professionals for their commitment to the insurance and securities industry. Rummel holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations, as well as insurance licenses, and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Iowa State University.

Cetera Financial Institutions is a marketing name of Cetera Investment Services, a self-clearing registered broker-dealer that provides investment and insurance solutions focused exclusively on the bank and credit union channel. Advisory services are offered through Cetera Investment Advisers, an SEC registered investment adviser firm.
