MVP REITs Appoint New CFO

MVP REIT I and II, two publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trusts, reported that Tracee Gress resigned as the chief financial officer of each REIT, effective as of June 14th. The boards of both companies appointed Edwin H. Bentzen IV as her replacement.

Since August 2013, Bentzen has served as the chief financial officer of Western Funding, Inc. a subsidiary of Westlake Financial Services, a company that specializes in sub-prime auto financing. He previously served as the assistant vice president of finance for Western Funding and the corporate controller of Western Funding. Bentzen received his bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1999 and his master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2007.

MVP REIT I and II focus on investing in parking facilities located throughout the United States and Canada. MVP REIT closed its initial public offering in September 2015 after raising $97.3 million from the sale of its common stock. The company recently announced its intent to list its common shares on the NASDAQ Global Market.

MVP REIT II broke escrow in December 2015 and has raised $16.6 million in investor equity since inception, according to the most recent Stanger Market Pulse.
