Olympic Legend Mark Spitz to Keynote ADISA’s 2015 Annual Conference

Olympic gold medalist Mark Spitz and economic comedian Peter Ricchiuti have been added to the list of speakers at ADISA’s 2015 Annual Conference and Tradeshow. 

The event will be held October 12-14 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and will include keynote speaker, Karl Rove. Rove, a political strategist, is best known for his provocative and robust knowledge of the major political issues of the day. He served as senior advisor to President George W. Bush from 2000-2007 and deputy chief of staff from 2004–2007. At the White House, he oversaw the offices of strategic initiatives, political affairs, public liaison, and intergovernmental affairs and was deputy chief of staff for policy, coordinating the White House policy-making process.

Mark Spitz is a sports legend, most remembered by his win of seven gold medals at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany. Until the 2008 Olympic Games, he held the record for the most Olympic gold medals during one Olympic Games by a single Olympiad. Between 1965 and 1972, Spitz won a total of 11 Olympic medals: nine gold, one silver and one bronze. During those years, he set 33 world records. He was voted “Athlete of the Century” in water sports and one of six “Greatest Olympians” by Sports Illustrated in 2000. 

Peter Ricchiuti is the business school professor at Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business, and has been twice named the school’s top professor. Ricchiuti started his career with the investment firm Kidder Peabody and later managed more than $3 billion as the assistant treasurer for the state of Louisiana. In 1993, he founded Tulane’s highly acclaimed Burkenroad Reports student stock research program. He also hosts a popular weekly business show on National Public Radio in New Orleans titled Out to Lunch and recently published his first book Stocks Under Rocks.
